Workshop on NF-kB: Cell Plasticity and Cancer

The Hospital del Mar Research Institute in Barcelona is set to host the workshop, "NF-kB: Cell Plasticity and Cancer", on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. The event will take place in the Charles Darwin Room at the PRBB Building.

The day will begin at 9:30 AM with welcome and opening remarks from Lluís Espinosa. The workshop will feature presentations from a range of distinguished experts in oncology research.

Throughout the day, the program will cover a variety of key scientific topics, including:

The role of NF-kB in therapy resistance and metastasis.
The use of patient-derived colorectal cancer organoids as a platform for investigating tumor heterogeneity.
Identifying druggable targets for fetal-type tumors.
The role of the Notch-YAP1 axis in fetal reprogramming and therapy evasion.
The relationship between cellular plasticity and the biology of triple-negative breast tumors.
The challenges of precision medicine and clinical research.

The schedule also includes a coffee break and a lunch break for informal networking. A roundtable discussion will be chaired by Lluís Espinosa, with closing remarks provided by Lluís Espinosa and Anna Bigas.
