Sir Harry Kroto, Nobel Laureate at the PRBB

Auditorium PRBB, at 12:00 and 16:00 hours

Next week on Tuesday 3rd June Sir Harry Kroto, Nobel Laureate will visit the PRBB. Apart from winning a Nobel prize for chemistry (discoverer of fullerenes), Sir Harry Kroto is very active both in promoting social responsibility in science and in science communication to the general public. He has developed two websites promoting global education in science through the internet – http://www.vega.org.uk/, http://www.geokri.org/

Sir Harry will offer TWO sessions at the PRBB:

At 12.00pm, in the Auditorium he will give an open lecture on the implications of science for society “ Science, Society and Sustainability”. There is no need to register for this event but attendees should be sure to get there early as we anticipate a high attendance.
At 4.00pm, Sir Harry will give a special seminar on Communication in Science. Any PRBB resident with an interest in science communication is welcome to attend, but registration is essential as places are limited and there are very few left!!
