Sala Ramón y Cajal (plaça interior del PRBB- Dr. Aiguader, 88. Barcelona) a les 12:00 h
En el marc de les sessions del Programa de neurociències, el proper divendres dia 28 de febrer a les 12:00 hores tindrà lloc a la Sala Ramón y cajal (Pati interior del PRBB) la sessió que porta per títol "Cracking codes: Bilingual infants' early language learning" impartida per Núria Sebastián, professora de Psicologia del Departament de Tecnologia de la informació i comunicacions del Centre for Brain and Cognition de la UPF i sots presidenta del European Research Council (ERC).

Nuria Sebastián Professor in Psychology, Department of Information Technology, Universitat Pompeu Fabra and Vice-President of the ERC. Her research focuses on the study of language learning, its perception, and issues related to language processing in general (with a special emphasis on bilingual populations). Her current research lines includes the investigation of individual differences in native and non-native speech processing (measuring brain activity and morphology), the relationship between speech perception and production (using behavioral, EEG as well TMS techniques) and the influence of social factors in mechanisms of visual perception and language understanding (using behavioral, EEG and fMRI). She is also interested in understanding the relationship between mechanisms of attention and early language learning (in very young infants).
