Ramon Diez-Feijóo Varela and Sílvia Ramos Campoy have received two personal grants to develop different research projects.
Two researchers from the Hospital del Mar and the Hospital del Mar Medical Research Institute have received two grants from the Spanish Society of Hematology and Hemotherapy, within the framework of the LXIV congress of the organization, held in Barcelona from October 6 to 8. These are personal grants for one year, worth 36,000 euros, renewable for a second year.
In this sense, Dr. Ramón Diez-Feijóo Varela has received the FEHH grant to develop his participation in the project 'Tumor mutational load in follicular lymphoma and its impact on response to first-line treatment and relapse'. The study is led by Dr. Antonio Salar, head of the Hematology Department of the Hospital del Mar and coordinator of the Applied clinical research in hematological malignances research group of the IMIM.
The second grant went to Dr. Sílvia Ramos Campoy. In her case, it was the FEHH grant with the collaboration of AstraZeneca, for the project 'Impact of genomic complexity on the clinical evolution of CLL patients treated with new targeted therapies: a real-life study in Spain'. Dr. Blanca Espinet, head of the Molecular Cytogenetics section of the Pathology Service of the Hospital del Mar, integrated in the biomedical diagnosis and imaging network, dibi, and researcher at IMIM, leads this work.
