Project title:

Support in the coordination and monitoring of the group's active clinical studies, especially those related to acute hypoxemic respiratory failure

Description:

The selected person will join the Applied metabolomics research group (Neurosciences research program).

Task:

We are looking for a research technician to support the coordination and monitoring of the group's research studies, especially those related to hypoxemic acute respiratory failure, CNAF, mechanical ventilation, and metabolomics. Tasks: • Identification, screening, and follow-up of candidate patients for inclusion in the studies. • Collection, review, and cleansing of clinical, respiratory, analytical, and evolutionary variables of the included patients. • Data entry and maintenance in the project's databases. • Support in the management of biological samples: coordination of extractions, sample registration, aliquot preparation, labeling, traceability, storage, and coordination with the laboratory/metabolomics platform. • Collaboration in the preparation and updating of study documentation: protocols, procedure manuals, data collection sheets, documentation for CEIm/CEIC, and follow-up reports. • Metabolomic analysis by LC-MS/MS • Extraction and analysis of biological samples • Support for the management of the metabolomics laboratory • Support in the preliminary analysis of clinical and metabolomic data, preparation of descriptive tables, literature review, and assistance in the interpretation of results.

Formation:

Higher-level Technical Training in Clinical Laboratory Science or an equivalent qualification.

Experience:

Experience in analysis using chromatographic techniques (HPLC, GC) Experience working with patients Experience in managing clinical databases

Knowledge:

Experience in communicating scientific results, experience in working with quality environments, and knowledge of English (First level) will be valued.
