Description:
The selected person will join the Cardiovascular epidemiology and genetics research group (Epidemiology and public health research program).
Task:
Participate in the individualized design of the physical training program of the PA-HEARTMAP project. Implement the physical exercise program with the different groups of participants, ensuring safe execution adapted to individual characteristics. Supervise training sessions and monitor intensity, progression, adherence, and compliance with the program. Coordinate the organization of intervention groups and adjust session schedules to facilitate participant involvement. Record data derived from the intervention according to the procedures established by the research project. Collaborate with the research team on tasks related to the implementation of the intervention and monitoring of participants.
Formation:
Bachelor's degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences (CAFE) or equivalent qualification. Postgraduate training or specialization in physical exercise and health, clinical exercise, or exercise prescription in the general population will be valued.
Experience:
Experience will be valued in: Design, prescription, and implementation of individualized physical exercise programs. Supervision of training programs in adult populations and/or populations with cardiovascular risk factors. Clinical research projects or intervention studies based on physical exercise. Monitoring adherence and follow-up of participants in research studies.
Knowledge:
Specific knowledge in prescription, adaptation, supervision, and monitoring of physical exercise programs in the context of clinical research. Knowledge of training principles aimed at cardiovascular health. Proficiency in office tools (Microsoft Office or equivalents), especially Excel for data recording and tracking. Knowledge of physical activity monitoring tools and devices for controlling exercise intensity. Catalan and Spanish spoken and written. Knowledge of scientific English will be valued.
Additional information:
Fixed-term contract linked to the PA-HEARTMAP research project. Expected duration: 10 months. The planned distribution is 2 months primarily dedicated to the individualized design of the training program, in parallel with the recruitment of participants, 6 months allocated to the implementation and monitoring of the intervention, and 2 months for follow-up of the participants. The selected person will work with approximately five intervention groups, each consisting of about ten people, who will be incorporated in a staggered manner. The sessions will take place on different days and time slots to facilitate participant adherence, which will require flexible availability.This subsidy may be co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund, 'One way of making Europe'.
