Research group on cellular mechanisms in physiological and pathological behavior
Research group / Service:
Cell-type mechanisms in normal and pathological behavior research group
Description:
The selected person will join the Cell-type mechanisms in normal and pathological behavior research group (Neurosciences research program).
Task:
Behavioral tasks in mice to study the impact of stress and the function of the immune system in the brain. It will use laboratory molecular techniques (RT-PCR, Western Blot, immunohistochemistry) and behavioral techniques in the animal facility using mice (cognition, anxiety, learning, social interaction, etc.). It will also utilize in vivo recording techniques and pharmacogenetics.
Formation:
PhD in Behavioral Biology. Essential animal experimentation certificate.
Experience:
Experience in handling different species (mice, rats). Experience in behavioral paradigms and experiments to study the impact of stress on behavior. Experience in depression models and the link between brain activity and immune system modulation.
Knowledge:
High level of angles. Knowledge of Bonsai, DeepLabCut, and programming. Also in in vivo calcium imaging and optogenetics.
