The selected person will join the Clinical and risk factors for neurodegenerative diseases research group (Neurosciences research program).
- Task:
-
Lead the design and implementation of advanced statistical analyses related to the ATHERo project, focusing on the interaction between subclinical atherosclerosis and biomarkers of Alzheimer’s disease, neuroimaging, and cognitive outcomes. Draft and review scientific publications, technical reports, and conference presentations, ensuring visibility. Strategically contribute to the research project on clinical risk factors, neuroimaging, and early detection of neurodegenerative diseases, providing a global perspective and expertise in scientific planning.
- Formation:

Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field. Additional training in advanced statistical analysis and brain imaging (preferred).
- Experience:
-
Solid experience in clinical or cognitive neuroscience research, including experimental design, project planning, and data analysis.
• Advanced knowledge of brain imaging techniques (MRI, fMRI) and basic neuroanatomy.
• Experience in managing and integrating large clinical and cognitive datasets.
• Demonstrated track record of contributing to high-impact scientific publications and presentations at international conferences.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary research teams and coordinating multi-institutional collaborations.
• Familiarity with cognitive and clinical assessment in patient-centered studies is a plus.
- Knowledge:

Expertise in the pathophysiology of Alzheimer's disease, especially in preclinical and prodromal stages.
• Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis and relevant software (R, Python, SPSS, MATLAB).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with a proven track record of leadership in publications and presentations.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, lead teams, and manage complex projects.
