Comprehensive characterization of human polymorphic inversions using long-read sequence data (PID2022-137615OB-I00)

Description:

The selected person will join the Comparative and functional genomics research group (Biomedical informatics research program).

Task:

Perform data analysis on inversions and other regions of the human genome. Participate in the development of bioinformatics studies. Contribute to the maintenance and updating of software programs for analyzing structural variants.

Formation:

Master's degree in the field of Biosciences

Experience:

Previous research experience in bioinformatics and human genetics, including: - Programming and statistics (Bash, R). - Analysis of human genetics. - Use of genetics programs and analysis of DNA sequences in research. - Experience in structural variants. - Working with long DNA sequences.

Knowledge:
