GPCR Drug Discovery research group

Description:

The selected person will join the GPCR Drug Discovery research group (Biomedical informatics research program).

Task:

Virtual screening into different conformational GPCR states 1. Perform molecular dynamics simulations, including system setup and clustering of the conformational space of GPCRs. 2. Conduct virtual screening targeting specific conformational clusters derived from MD simulations to identify potential ligands. 3. Develop web-based tools to facilitate visualization and analysis of simulation and screening data.

Formation:

Degree in Biology or equivalent qualification.

Experience:

1. Proven experience in data analysis, molecular dynamics simulations, and machine learning projects. 2. Bioinformatics skills, with academic training in Molecular Biology, Genetics, or Biotechnology. 3. Strong interdisciplinary mindset and ability to apply computational tools to biomedical research. 4. Excellent communication skills in English (C2 level), both written and spoken.

Knowledge:

1. Proficiency in Python, R, and Bash programming languages. 2. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and biostatistics. 3. Experience working with SQL databases and molecular biology techniques.
