Project title:

Beyond classical conditioning: Hippocampal circuits in higher-order memory processes

Research group / Service:

Description:

The selected person will join the Cell-type mechanisms in normal and pathological behavior research group (Neurosciences research program).

Task:

Behavioral tests of behavioral behavior, operant and/or associative learning in mice to study cognitive processes. It will make use of laboratory molecular techniques (RT-PCR, Western Blot, immunohistochemistry) and behavioral techniques in the laboratory using mice (cognition, anxiety, learning, social interaction, etc). It will also use in vivo recording techniques.

Formation:

PhD in Behavioral Biology. A certificate in animal experimentation is essential.

Experience:

Experience in the manipulation of different species (mice, rats). Experience in behavioral and higher order conditioning paradigms focused on cognition. Experience in innate behaviors in mice.

Knowledge:

High level of English. Knowledge of Bonsai, DeepLabCut and programming. Also in in vivo calcium recordings.

Additional information:

International experience and mobility at the level of congresses and laboratory stays will be valued. Publications in the field of neuroscience research will be evaluated. Attendance at national and international meetings will be evaluated.
