The Innovation and Digital Transformation Unit of the Hospital del Mar will become part of the ITEMAS platform.

It has received a grant from the Carlos III Health Institute to be part of the ISCIII platform for the dynamization and innovation of the industrial capacities of the National Health Service.

The project of the Innovation and Digital Transformation Unit presented by the Hospital del Mar research institute on the ITEMAS platform for the dynamization and innovation of the industrial capacities of the National Health Service of the Carlos III Health Institute (ITEMAS ISCIII) will receive a grant of about 300.000 euros for its development in the period 2024-2026. The initiative, coordinated by the Parc Taulí Research and Innovation Institute (I3PT), will have 26 innovation support units and more than a hundred collaborators throughout the State.

Innovation and Digital Transformation Unit Team

The goal of the platform is to effectively stimulate the industrial capacity generated from the National Health System and the actual transfer of research outcomes to the productive sector. It is one of the three ISCIII platforms supporting R+D+I in biomedicine and health sciences, along with the biobanks and biomodels platform and the clinical research support platform.
